Celebrating a Year of Success and Growth at Socratic School
A Journey of Achievements, Gratitude, and Community It has been one whole year since the birth of Socratic School, and what a year it has been. They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, and we can confidently say that this first step has turned into a marathon of success, learning, and excitement for both our students and staff. Milestone: This year marks one year since the inception of Socratic School. The journey has been filled with significant success and excitement, transforming the initial step into a marathon of achievements. Student Achievements: We have had some truly outstanding learners who have shown great discipline and commitment. As the famous footballer Pele said, "Success is no accident." These students have worked hard to earn their place among the shining stars of Socratic School. We salute your determination, resilience, and the passion you've shown. Parental Support: None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our parents. You are the foundation on which our students build their dreams. For that, we say a huge thank you. As the saying goes, "No one is so poor that he cannot give, and no one is so rich that he cannot receive." Teacher Appreciation: To our teachers, "He who teaches learns twice." We have witnessed how your dedication and passion have helped shape the minds of the next generation. You've not only taught lessons but also imparted values and skills that will serve our students for a lifetime. The gratitude we have for you is immeasurable. A big thank you to our directors for leading the way, for knowing the way, showing us the way, and leading the way. Thank you for going out of your way and ensuring that we get the best, especially in the monthly exposure trips. We know you dig deep into your pockets to ensure that Socratic School kids get the right exposure. May God bless you. Leadership: Our directors have been instrumental in guiding us, showing us the way, and leading us. Their financial support for exposure trips has been invaluable, ensuring that Socratic School students receive the right exposure. Spiritual Growth: Our students' growth wasn't just academic. They also had the chance to visit various churches where they received spiritual mentorship and learned important life lessons. They bonded with the community, saved at the village food, and marveled at breathtaking scenery. Memorable Trips: One of the most unforgettable moments was the visit to St. Mark's Catholic Church in the Great Escarpment of Elgeyo Marakwet County. "The higher you go, the cooler it gets," they say, and the views from that church were as cool as they come. The experience was both thrilling and awe-inspiring, and the pictures and videos tell the story better than words ever could. Another highlight was the Moi Ben Township tour, which was the reception of the year. The food, the warmth, the hospitality—it was the food of the year and exposure of the year rolled into one. Special thanks to the parents of Grace and Milan for hosting us with so much love and care. Truly, a friend in need is a friend indeed, and you all have proven that. Community Support: We extend our appreciation to the parents of Grace and Milan for their hospitality during the Moi Ben Township tour. Their warmth and care made the experience unforgettable. Year-End Celebrations: As our year came to a close, we celebrated with a heartfelt KPS EA prayer and ECDE graduation ceremony. The ECDE pupils were the stars of the day, demonstrating the power of the Socratic method with a brilliant Socratic conference. Who knew these young minds could ask such thought-provoking questions? Teacher Jacqueline, our ECDE headteacher, was showered with gifts and appreciation from parents and directors alike. "A teacher affects eternity," and Teacher Jacqueline, your impact is truly eternal. To all the teachers, thank you for your tireless work throughout the year. Each one of you received a token of appreciation—you've earned it. Teacher Odoyo, Teacher Clara, Teacher Ronald, Teacher Caroline, Teacher Isaiah, and Teacher Sharon, together with our administration secretary Mercy and our matron Joyce, thank you all for the good work. Teacher Recognition: Teachers and staff received tokens of appreciation for their hard work throughout the year. Special recognition was given to Teacher Jacqueline, the ECDE headteacher, for her outstanding contributions. Exam Success: Our Grade 6 learners sat for their exams with determination, confidence, and grace. "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." They did, and we couldn't be prouder. After all the hard work, they are now ready to spread their wings and fly into the next chapter of their education journey. Looking Forward: As we wrap up this unforgettable year, we want to remind everyone that the best is yet to come. The Socratic School family has grown stronger, wiser, and more united with each passing day. We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and unforgettable moments. Closing: We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the many parents who have already chosen to entrust their children's education to Socratic School for the 2025 academic year. May the God of knowledge, wisdom, abundance, peace, love, and sufficient grace strengthen and enlighten you, lead you and protect you, uplift you and bless you.
